Lighting the Way
I believe there is a positive light that shines through some of our most difficult and devastating life situations. One positive thought when suffering with a chronic illness like Lyme is that is definitely makes you a stronger person. Being sick with chronic Lyme has changed my entire outlook on the people and situations in my life. In a way I am thankful for Lyme because it has opened my eyes to appreciate all that I have to be grateful for in my life. I have love and support from my wonderful family and friends, I have a furry friend that has brought me immeasurable joy, I have a warm and inviting home and have been fortunate to travel to many beautiful locations.
My Lyme adventures have taught me many lesssons but I would have to say the most important lessons I have learned is to feel blessed for each and every day, to enjoy a nice spring walk, good conversation with friends and to laugh until it hurts. Yes, it is very unfortunate that I have chronic Lyme disease but this disease does not have my spirit, my soul. I have learned who I am as a person and I don’t know if I would have embarked on my spiritual journey it is wasn’t for this disease.
I welcome and invite everyone (not just those in the prairies) to please enjoy all this site has to offer. All the information contained in this website comes from years of my very own personal experiences fighting Lyme Disease, knowledge I have gained from my multiple Lyme doctors and endless hours absorbing research and new findings. I have worked to bring you Prairie Lymelight Network (despite being beyond exhausted and sick) to help educate you on the mysterious disease which is Lyme. Heck, even those not suffering with Lyme may learn a thing or two about healing their bodies. It has become a true passion and desire of mine to teach others about this illness and voice my opinion when at times others affected with Lyme don’t have the power or strength to do so.
It is my sincere wish that the information on this site inspires and brings joy, faith and enlightenment to all of the Lymies out there. This website is dedicated to those with Lyme who suffer needlessly everyday, for those who have lost their battle, for those whose loved ones are suffering with this debilitating disease and for those whose lives have been touched by this illness. May we rise up and let our voices be heard!
It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters in the end. ~Unknown
