Lighting the Way
I believe there is a positive light that shines through some of our most difficult and devastating life situations. One positive thought when suffering with a chronic illness like Lyme is that is definitely makes you a stronger person. Being sick with chronic Lyme has changed my entire outlook on the people and situations in my life. In a way I am thankful for Lyme because it has opened my eyes to appreciate all that I have to be grateful for in my life. I have love and support from my wonderful family and friends, I have a furry friend that has brought me immeasurable joy, I have a warm and inviting home and have been fortunate to travel to many beautiful locations.
My Lyme adventures have taught me many lesssons but I would have to say the most important lessons I have learned is to feel blessed for each and every day, to enjoy a nice spring walk, good conversation with friends and to laugh until it hurts. Yes, it is very unfortunate that I have chronic Lyme disease but this disease does not have my spirit, my soul. I have learned who I am as a person and I don’t know if I would have embarked on my spiritual journey it is wasn’t for this disease.
I welcome and invite everyone (not just those in the prairies) to please enjoy all this site has to offer. It is my sincere wish that the information on this site inspires and brings joy to all of the Lymies out there. Also, to support those who have loved ones suffering with this debilitating disease and to anyone whose lives have been touched by this illness.
